Barbara Haddrill has recently had a book published about her amazing journey to Australia to be a bridesmaid at her friend's wedding. She did not fly, passed through 18 countries by walking, cycling, catching trains, buses and boats and arrived just in time for the hen night. The book "Babs2Brisbane" is available from all good booksellers and comes highly recommended by all who have read it. Whether you remember Barbara or not, it's an inspiration to "slow travellers".

Street Angels High Wycombe - Are you interested in being part of an exciting Christianservice that will soon be starting in High Wycombe town centre?
Street Angels are teams of Christians that go out in the town centre on Friday nights and help people in any kind of need, eg lost, disorientated through too much to drink or perhaps upset after an argument.Street Angels are amazingly successful in a number of towns around the UK and a real outreach to the community. We are starting this in High Wycombe and if you interested, in any way, please come to a meeting at: 7.30pm on Thursday 4 June 2009 at the Hub (Union Baptist Church) on Easton Street. We will explain further what is involved and hear from someone who has been a Street Angel in Watford. This is a very exciting project and we look forward to seeing you there.
